Background: Cesarean section (CS) rates have increased; this is especially concerning in developing countries. The mode of placental delivery contributes to morbidity associated with CS, and determines blood loss during CS. Objective: aim the work was compare spontaneous cord traction manual removal placenta as regards amount elective cesarean section. Patients Methods: This prospective Cohort study included a total 48 Women prepared for section, attending at Zagazig University Hospitals General Hospital. conducted between April 2019 October 2019. subjects were divided into two groups (24 each) regarding methods delivery. Group A; allowed be separated spontaneously removed by gentle traction. B; manually surgeon’s hand introduced uterine cavity cleavage plane created decidua basalis following which grasped removed. With use oxytocin intravenous infusion 20 units after baby both groups. Results: Blood separation group (881.67 ± 74.54) ml, but (962.79 116.11) (p < 0.01).The preoperative hemoglobin (g/dl) (11.3 1.07) (11.63 1.11), postoperative (10.3 0.83) (9.42 0.74). Conclusion: Manual only seems superior saving time taken extract out placenta. adds post-operative complications form greater infections.
